ABOUT ME

Following Elementary school in Odeomu and Ibadan (Then western region of Nigeria ) I moved to have premed at the Royal University of Malta, sitting summer 1971)Oxbridge “A” levels (plus two Scholarship papers). Thereafter, via Cambridge and Royal Hospital of St Bartholomews(University of London )completed clinical medicine and graduated in 1977/78.  I completed mandatory pre registration in Wales and Scotland and proceeded to train as a surgeon in stages atSouthend on sea, St Bartholomews & Old Hackney hospitals(working for Sir John Chalstrey and William Shand), Wakefield (working for the famous F.G. Smiddy). I gained Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (1981) and Royal College of Surgeons of England, Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London .(May 1982)
 

I proceeded to work as Lecturer 1(honorary Consultant surgeon) at the University of Calabar, Nigeria .
I returned to the UK (and Malta ) and gained MD(1989)and was appointed consultant first at The Stoke Mandeville Hospital , Aylesbury , and latterly at West Lancashire NHS trusts (Ormskirk and Southport Hospitals). 1991.During the ensuing years ,I maintained a large private medical practice in Rodney Street, Liverpool ,and Harley Street , London where I was CEO of The London Medical Centre, 142-146 Harley Street, London.I was also Surgical Tutor to the Royal Colleges of Surgeon(Edinburgh &London), taught post graduate students for Manchester university and was examiner in surgery for University of Liverpool . I was also the London based Editor for The International Journal of Tropical Surgery.  In between these, I was elected Fellow of the International College of Surgeons based in Chicago, Illinois , USA.
